The Emerald City

Set between Puget Sound and Lake Washington and overlooking Elliot Bay is the beautiful city of Seattle, WA. Seattle is a city that blends the uniqueness of the Pacific Northwest with a cosmopolitan city, all with the beautiful backdrop of the Mount Rainier and the Cascade Range. Owing to the evergreen trees surrounding Seattle on the Cascade and Olympic Mountains, Seattle is known as the “Emerald City”. Since major companies headquartered in Seattle such as Microsoft, Amazon and Starbucks, the city is the Pacific Northwest’s international hub, with amazing restaurants, hotels and shopping. Seattle is the cultural, economic and social center for the region and is known for its liberal and multicultural atmosphere. Being a metropolitan city, there is an endless supply of things to do and see, with landmarks, museums and events to enjoy.

The most noticeable landmark in Seattle is the Space Needle. This iconic landmark reaches 605 feet into the sky. It has an observation deck at the top with amazing views and the SkyCity restaurant that constantly rotates 360 degrees for an ever-changing view. Pike Place Market is the United States’ oldest farmers’ market and is home to Seattle’s famous fish market, known for the Pike Place Fish Boys fish-throwing. Seattle has world renowned art with the Seattle Art Museum, the Frye Art Museum and the Seattle Asian Art Museum all close by. When you want to spend time outdoors, the Woodland Park Zoo has natural and spacious habitats in a park setting, surrounded by nature. Throughout the year, Seattle hosts a number of exciting festivals. Each summer is the Seafare Festival that takes place along the waterfront and features hydroplane races, The US Navy’s Blue Angel aerobatic team and the Torchlight Parade. Sports fans will appreciate Seattle’s five professional teams, including the MLB Seattle Mariners, the NFL Seattle Seahawks and MLS’s Seattle Sounders FC.

Private Aircraft Charter to Seattle FAQ

What do I need to think about when chartering to Seattle?

Serving many of the charter flights heading to the Seattle area is Boeing Field / King County International Airport – BFI. Just six miles from Seattle, BFI is the closest and most convenient airport to downtown. Even better, the runways and facilities at BFI are well-suited to handle everything from single-engine turboprops to long-range heavy jets. A bit further to the south is Renton Municipal Airport – RNT – which is also available to accept all sizes of aircraft. RNT is an ideal airport for guests visiting locations such as Tacoma and the southern part of King County. And since both of these airports see little to no commercial airline service, guests will avoid all of the crowds and delays associated with major airports.
