Auction Napa Valley
Enjoy the finest wines while supporting a great cause.
Auction Napa Valley, presented by the non-profit trade group Napa Valley Vintners, is an event created to raise money for children’s educational non-profits as well as community health in California’s Napa Valley wine growing region. Taking place in June 2017 from the 1st-4th, Auction Napa Valley is a full weekend of events centered around the some of the finest wines in the world, all while supporting great causes. In 1981, a few vintners from the area came together to create what is known as “the worlds most celebrated charity wine event”. The main event of the weekend is the Live Auction Celebration at the luxurious Meadowood Napa Valley resort in the town of St Helena. At this celebration, attendees all bid on some of the most rare and fine wines in Napa Valley. And after the auction, guests will enjoy an Italian-influenced dinner created by Francis Coppola and an after-party with dancing and a musical headliner.
With Auction Napa Valley happening over four days, you can be sure there will be exciting events throughout with each focused the region’s most famous export. The weekend opens on Thursday with welcome parties put on by the vintners participating in the auction. On Friday is The Napa Valley Barrel Auction. Taking place at the Coppola’s Inglebrook Estate, this auction has bidding on over 100-plus wines directly from the barrel and includes a dinner local food from the area’s top restaurants. The main auction happens on Saturday night where attendees can big on some very rare and exclusive wines. And on Sunday morning, the weekend closes with an extravagant brunch at Charles Krug, the oldest winery in Napa Valley. Although Auction Napa Valley is all about the wine, it is also about learning about and enjoying Napa Valley and its wine, all while supporting a great cause.
Private Aircraft Charter to Auction Napa Valley FAQ
What do I need to think about when chartering to Auction Napa Valley?
One of the best parts of Auction Napa Valley 2017 is that while the auction itself is in St. Helena, the event features events throughout wine country. Napa County Airport – APC, is in the southern part of the county and an excellent choice if you plan to visit this part of the area as well as neighboring Sonoma County, which makes up a large part of wine country. The runway at APT is long enough to comfortably accommodate aircraft up to most heavy jets. Sonoma County Airport – STS, is a bit closer to St. Helena and the Meadowood Napa Valley Resort, where the auction will be taking place. STS is just about 26-scenic miles away over a 30-minute drive through postcard perfect landscapes. The runway at STS can handle heavy jets and has great ground handling and passenger services.
