Like Las Vegas, Only Smaller
Laughlin is a town that was literally made for entertainment. Set on the Colorado River and at the southern tip of Nevada, Laughlin is a place where people come to enjoy gaming, entertainment and outdoor adventures. Along with Las Vegas and Reno, Laughlin is one of Nevada’s big three gaming cities. Laughlin’s beautiful desert location and smaller size give a more intimate and family-friendly atmosphere than other Nevada towns. With the Colorado River running right through town and the untouched desert wilderness right outside of the city, there are numerous outdoor activities and adventures for all tastes. And that’s not all. Throughout the year Laughlin hosts events, festivals and live converts. Golf lovers will certainly appreciate the 18-hole course available for play at the Mojave Resort and Golf Club. Add to that the amazing dining options, shopping opportunities and fun atmosphere and you have a perfect destination for a weekend away.
The centerpiece of town is the Laughlin River Walk, where all the casinos are set as well as where the Colorado River’s waterfront is. Flanked by nine casinos from major hotel brands, all with Las Vegas-style gaming, entertainment and dining. The River Walk is where the party happens. And at the adjacent waterfront, guests can rent jet skis, go fishing or cool off with a refreshing dip in the Colorado River. Those wanting some high-energy excitement can take a jet-boat ride with London Bridge Jet Tours that, at speeds nearing 40 miles-per-hour, is an adrenaline-fueled 40-mile ride down the Colorado River. And with major casino-resorts like Harrah’s, Tropicana and Aquarius, you can be sure that the lodging accommodations will be of the highest order. Well-appointed suites, refreshing pools and all the blackjack, slots and poker to be expected at any Las Vegas style casino await you in Laughlin. Those looking for all the fun and excitement of Las Vegas but in a smaller package with smaller crowds will find Laughlin to be the perfect place.
Laughlin/Bullhead International Airport – IFP - serves the vacation destination of Laughlin that sits just across the Colorado in Arizona. It is a great place to start a visit to Laughlin’s casinos as well as the nearby outdoor recreation areas. Because IFP is so close to downtown Laughlin, most visitors take the quick, five-minute walk across the bridge to town. Its location near Route 95 makes it easy to get to the places like Lake Mohave and Dead Mountain Wilderness Area. And since IFP regularly handles airline traffic, there are no runway restrictions for any size or class of business jet.
