Lake Havasu

Arizona’s Riviera

Set in western Arizona and on the California border is the desert oasis of Lake Havasu. It is a massive reservoir filled by the Colorado River with the construction of the Parker Dam. Famous for being home to the London Bridge that was brought to Lake Havasu in 1967, this destination was made for fun on the water. Lake Havasu is a one-of-a-kind place that enjoys the juxtaposition of the gentle blue waters of the lake against the jagged red mountains and hot desert. The warm desert climate sees hot summer days, mild winters and more than 300 days of sunshine per year. It is a place where people come to enjoy the extensive outdoor sports and adventures. Fun on the lake includes everything from boating and fishing to waterskiing and paddle boarding. The rugged landscape makes it one of the state’s top destinations for off-roading, mountain biking and hiking. And with over 14 golf courses in the area, Lake Havasu truly is an outdoor paradise.

Lake Havasu, being set in the untouched expanse of Arizona, is home to some amazing natural wonders and wildlife. A great way to see and experience these amazing features is at the Havasu National Wildlife Refuge. Boasting over 37,000 acres of land, this refuge is home to 300-plus species of birds and mammals, all on perfectly undeveloped land. When the sun goes down in Lake Havasu, the fun and nightlife begin at bars, clubs and lake parties. No vacation destination would be complete without great resorts and top accommodations. The Nautical Beachfront Resort has everything you’ll need for a top holiday on the lake, including boat rentals, a golf course, a waterpark with an infinity pool and fully equipped suites. Many visitors also enjoy getting in the great outdoors and camping at the secluded and pristine camp sites that surround the lake. And while the rest of Arizona has much to offer, getting off the beaten path and into Lake Havasu will be the perfect escape.
