The city of Boulder is served by two excellent airports that are excellent places to big a visit to the Boulder Valley. Closest to town is Boulder Municipal Airport – BDU - which is only four miles from the city center, with an expected drive time of 10 minutes. Like most downtown airports, BDU has a relatively short runway so it is best for light jets and turboprops. For guests who will be arriving on larger jets, Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport – BJC, is the best choice, with runways long enough for all sizes and classes of aircraft. Located in-between Denver and Boulder, BJC it is an excellent alternative for those who will also be heading to Colorado’s biggest city.
