Spokane is a lovely city in eastern Washington that straddles the Spokane River and sits just to the west of the Rocky Mountains. It is Washington’s second largest city and acts as the economic, social and cultural center of the region. Consistently named one of the Top 25 Golf Course by Golf Digest, Indian Canyon Golf Course. It offers varying terrain and challenging games all while having some of the best views of the Spokane. Beer and wine lovers will be pleased to learn that Spokane has a respectable number of wineries and breweries. The Riblet Mansion and Arbor Crest Winery is set above Spokane with a three-story mansion built in the Florentine style and is the area’s premier winery. Spokane International Airport – GEG – is the main commercial airport that sees both charter and airline traffic. GEG is only seven miles from downtown Spokane, a drive of about 15 minutes. GEG airport is also conveniently located for those visiting Western Idaho and Coeur d’Alene. Guests arriving on turboprops and light jets can also use Felts Field – SFF. Only six miles to the east of Spokane, Felts Field is on the eastern edge of town and has easy access to Interstate 90, so getting to all of Eastern Washington and Western Idaho from SFF is a breeze. Many guests prefer SFF’s lack of airline service, which give it far less traffic, crowds and delays that are seen at larger airports.
