Utah's Outdoor Playground

Nestled in the beautiful northern part of Utah is Ogden, the state’s first settlement and now its seventh largest city. While Ogden is only about 40 miles north of Salt Lake City, being there feels as if you are a world away. As an outdoor sports paradise, Ogden and its surrounding area hosts three ski resorts and 200-plus miles of hiking and mountain biking trails. It is also recognized as a top rock climbing and bouldering location at its quartzite cliffs in the foothills on the northern side of town. Not to be outdone is the extensive amount of activities on the nearby lakes, rivers and streams in and around town. Fishing, boating and paddle-boarding are all abundant at the Ogden and Weber Rivers as well as at Pineview Dam. For guests looking for a more refined experience, Ogden has a sophisticated downtown with everything you’d expect from any great city. Gourmet eateries, unique galleries and fun shops all line the beautiful streets of downtown Ogden.

Guests seeking out some quirky and out-of-the-ordinary fun need look no further than Ogden. The George S Eccles Dinosaur Park has life-sized, animatronic recreations of the prehistoric reptiles that used to roam the earth. At IFLY Utah, learn the art of bodyflight where guests literally fly inside a wind-tunnel while wearing special flying suits, all under the watchful eye of seasoned instructors. Shoppers will love Historic 25th Street, a retail district spread over three blocks filled with galleries, restaurants, local shops and a farmer’s market during the warm months. Downtown Ogden is also where you will find luxurious lodging accommodations. The classically styled Ben Lomond Suites, one of Utah last grand hotels and Ogden’s finest, includes opulent rooms, a gourmet restaurant, Irish pub and attentive service. What’s best about Ogden is its perfect blend of the rugged outdoors and downtown life that make it a perfect place for a holiday, no matter what season.

Private Aircraft Charter to Ogden FAQ

What do I need to think about when chartering to Ogden?

Ogden is fortunate to be surrounded by three airports that are well-suited to serve charter flights to the region. Closest to town is Ogden-Hinkley Airport – OGD - which is only four miles from the city center with a drive of under 10 minutes. OGD airport is set right on Interstate 15, which makes it easy getting to Salt Lake City to the south and Logan to the north. Those visiting Ogden as well as the Wasatch Range and Wellsville Mountains will find Bringham City Airport – BMC - to be ideal for their trip. BMC is about 24 miles to the north of Ogden and normally requires drive times of about 25 minutes. The Wasatch Range is about two-and-a-half hours from BMC and the Wellsville Mountains are about a half-hour away. To the south of Ogden is Salt Lake City International Airport – SLC - which is perfect for visits to Utah’s biggest city and is only about 4-miles and 40 minutes away from Ogden. Guests who will be visiting both Ogden and Salt Lake City will find that SLC perfectly suits their trip. All three of Ogden’s airports have very long runways and facilities that can comfortably accommodate all sizes and classes of jets.
