Private Aircraft Charter to Lake Powell FAQ

What do I need to think about when chartering to Lake Powell?

Due to the massive size of Lake Powell, there really is no single airport serving the entire lake. However, this does not mean that getting there will be difficult with an airport at the lakes south end and one towards the norther end. At the southern end is the city of Page, AZ, and Page Municipal Airport – PGA. Page is a great place to base your Lake Powell trip, and PGA Airport makes that very easy with its long runways capable of handling heavy jets. PGA airport is conveniently located for those visiting Glen Canyon Dam, Antelope Canyon and Rainbow Bridge National Monument. At the northern end of Lake Powell is Bullfrog Basin Airport – UO7 – set just three miles and a five-minute drive from Bullfrog Marina. Bullfrog Basin Airport is an excellent choice for guests visiting Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, Bullfrog Bay and the northern stretches of Lake Powell. Because Bullfrog Basin Airport’s runways is only 3,500 feet, it is best for turboprops and light jets.
