Hayward

Exceptional and Undiscovered

Hayward is an up-and-coming community that sits at the southern tip of Northern California’s San Francisco Bay. Although Hayward may not be the most well-known locale, its central location makes it a perfect place to base a visit to the entire San Francisco Bay region. Hayward is a city focused on providing a welcoming home for the manufacturing industry of which many companies are headquartered or have a major presence. In recent years, Hayward has seen a revitalization of the downtown area which now has excellent eateries, locally owned shops and unique galleries. Hayward’s climate is very comfortable with warm, dry summers and relatively mild winters and just a bit of rain. And since it is central location in the Bay Area, day trips to San Francisco, Oakland and the Silicon Valley are no more than 30 minutes away.

Through its transition towards refinement, Hayward fought graffiti with the Hayward Public Art Program. This program commissioned beautiful murals throughout the city, leaving it an outdoor art gallery. Being named a “Tree City USA”, downtown Hayward is a lovely place with shaded sidewalks lined with some interesting shops and eateries to check out. At the Hayward Area Historical Society, guests can enjoy exhibits and displays that tell the full story of the Bay Area city. California is full of Brewpubs, and one of the first, Buffalo Bill’s Brewery, is right in downtown Hayward. It’s a great place to try out the microbrews, locally inspired menu and live shows. Golfers will appreciate the Hayward’s three golf courses including TPC Stonebrae. Operated by the PGA Tour, TPC Stonebrae is a member of the Tournament Players Club and offers a challenging par-72 course with sprawling views of the San Francisco Bay.

Private Aircraft Charter to Hayward FAQ

What do I need to think about when chartering to Hayward?

Guests visiting Hayward have two excellent airport options that are both conveniently located for easy access to the entire Bay Area. Closest to town is Hayward Executive Airport – HWD – which sits just three miles from downtown and has drive times of about 10 minutes. Sitting right by three major interstates and next to the San Mateo Bridge, HWD is ideally located for visits to San Jose, Oakland and the Tech Corridor along the San Francisco Peninsula. Because HWD is exclusively a general aviation airport, there are far smaller crowds and congestion than is seen at airports with airline service. Oakland International Airport – OAK – is 10 miles and a 20-minute drive north of Hayward. OAK’s location near the Bay Bridge and major roadways make it a perfect airport for visits to Oakland, San Francisco and Northern California’s Wine Country. And because OAK’s executive terminals are on the opposite side of the airport from the airline terminal, guests will not have to contend with all of the crowds and traffic. What’s best is that both airports have more than enough runway for all sizes and classes of business jets.
