Malibu’s Surfrider Beach is the first World Surfing Reserve because of its perfectly formed waves. It can be found just off of the Malibu Pier and is a must-see for any surfing fans. And while the beach is the centerpiece of Malibu, the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area is an excellent way to see the stunning surrounding environment. Just a few minutes away by car are hikes through California’s golden hills and valleys that are teeming with wildlife, wildflowers, streams and waterfalls.
