Phoenix

Year-Round Fun and Endless Sun

Set in “The Valley of the Sun”, Phoenix, is a rapidly growing city that blends desert beauty with a sophisticated urban center. The region has earned its title because it’s in one of the sunniest regions in the world, with over 300 bright, sunny days each year. It is the beautiful desert landscape, excellent weather and many attractions that draw so many visitors. One of Phoenix’s main attractions is the extraordinary golfing that is available year-round. Being home to over 200 golf courses, it sees annual events held by the PGA, LPGA and the Champions Tour. Being centrally located in the Desert Southwest makes Phoenix the best starting point for visits to the Grand Canyon, Lake Havasu and the Painted Desert. Each of these natural wonders provides endless outdoor activities such as hiking, mountain biking and watersports. Downtown Phoenix is a modern city with an enjoyable downtown area that is great for an evening stroll and has international eateries, quaint cafes and interesting shops.

And while Phoenix has lots to do outdoors, it has also grown into a city with lots of culture, professional sports and top shopping. At the Phoenix Symphony Hall, catch performances by the Phoenix Symphony Orchestra, Ballet Arizona and the Arizona Opera. As for museums, amongst others, Phoenix is home to the Phoenix Art Museum, the Arizona Science Center and the new Musical Instrument Museum. If professional sports are what you are looking for, the MLB Arizona Diamondbacks, NHL Phoenix Coyotes, and the NFL Arizona Cardinals. Because Phoenix is such a popular destination for the well-heeled, there are many 5-star and 5-diamond hotels and desert resorts. Resorts by The Four Seasons, Ritz Carlton and Omni are all in the area and have luxurious rooms, fine dining and perfectly tended grounds. Guests looking for some retail therapy will certainly appreciate Biltmore Fashion Park and the Desert Ridge Marketplace with their national brands, unique local shops and eclectic galleries.

Private Aircraft Charter to Phoenix FAQ

What do I need to think about when chartering to Phoenix?

Getting in and out of The Valley of the Sun couldn’t be easier with the Phoenix area having several excellent airports to serve guests’ charter flights. Closest to downtown Phoenix is Sky Harbor International Airport – PHX-- which is the main commercial airport for the region. PHX is just five miles and only about a 10-minute drive from downtown. PHX is a great choice if you will be staying downtown and taking in all the sights of the city. PHX has world-class facilities and runways long enough for every size and class of jet. Just 24 miles north of downtown is Phoenix Deer Valley Airport – DVT, which is perfect for those staying at the resorts in the area such as the JW Marriot Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort & Spa and Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort. And since there is no airline traffic at DVT, there is far less traffic and crowds than at PHX. Phoenix Goodyear Airport – GYR, is about 25 miles west of Phoenix and perfectly suits those visiting the Phoenix International Raceway and University of Phoenix Stadium.
